Terrible 2s
You often hear about Terrible 2s Horrible 3s and I often wonder how terrible can 2s be. Now that Kris is approaching the mile stone,my fear are coming REAL SOON.
Temper Tantrums
When my husband or myself chided Kris for her misbehave or our refusal to allow her to do certain things, she directed her anger by crossing her arms across her body, throwing things on the floor, biting the nearest toy available to her or the most convenient for all kids CRY OUT LOUD.
Often, I carried her to a corner of the house and sat down beside her so that she can looked me in my eyes. I made her stood there crying while telling her what wrong she has done. This often escalate a volume up in the whine or movement towards me asking me to hug her. I had to repeatedly tell her to stop crying before I carry her. Before long, she realizes that I'm not going to give in until she stops.
Independence
As she grow bigger, she wanted to do certain acts by herself such as eating, combing her hair or even refusing to sit in the stroller when we are out. Even though she often make a mess at the dinning table, my husband and I allowed her to feed herself and gradually guided her towards the right way. This can be frustrating at time but we look on the bright side.
Affectionate
As Kris grows, she has became very affectionate. She likes to sit on our lap while watching tv, cuddle us when she wakes up from her naps, wanting us to play with her ALWAYS.While this can slow us down a little, my husband and I are positive that this definitely worth our time.
Taking charge
I started to let Kris decides what she want to eat or wear. I learnt that i should only ask her closed ended question and avoid open-ended questions as this might cause frustration.
Sweetie, Pink or Blue. Short and simple question.

Molars
Kris's molars are hurting her so much. I thought the stage of worst teething is over but to my horror Kris started pointing and yanking her lips and telling us pain. I spent some time googling and it's the SECOND molars, the most hateful and painful phase.
The only plus point this time round is that she is able to tell us when she is in pain, bad stomach or simple no appetite.
Here's a list of teething symptoms:

A to Z
We were thrilled when Kris is able to memorized at least 80% of the characters in the alphabet book of A - Z.
Our efforts of daily reading and repeating the alphabet book paid off.
Well Done sweetie.
