COVID-19

This scary virus attacked the nation or rather world by a swift blow. In less than 2 months, there are at least 400+ infected, 3 death by the virus in Singapore. Government has imposed strict measures and controls to prevent this potential bush-fire effect if any.

As for us, we have to adjust to our "new" lives for now

  • Company imposed WFH policy for me till further notice
  • Husband is grounded, meaning no travel for now (happy problem at least)
  • Kids are to attend 1 day home based learning (nearly tear my hair out when I have to juggle with work, system and questions raised by K)
  • Enrichment classes are suspended for 1 month (both K and L are delighted)
As for our "self imposed" changes, we are

  • limiting outdoor time
  • stock up on food supplies
  • increasing home activities to occupy the kids (to prevent screen time)
  • learning new dishes
Over the weekends, I learnt how to cook sweet and sour chicken (got the thumbs up from the kids). Kids had their fun running around the house, painting, "pretend play" with slime and animal figurines. Family bonding has been bought up a notch. As for my husband, he finally had time to really bond with the kids over this period of time. Not all are grey at least

We hope to see rainbow soon. Meanwhile, continue with daily hygiene and stay safe.
